Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:26-27
Have you ever stopped to think about the fact that God Almighty created us, when there was absolutely no requirement at all that He do so in the first place?
God didn’t have to create us at all, but He did. Not only did He create us, but He created us in His own image. He created us, to be like Him. (Technically like Them as the verse states, The Father, Son, Holy Spirit, = Elohim.) Not only did He not have to create us at all, but He didn’t have to create us like Him, but He also didn’t have to create us so that we live FOREVER, one way or the other.
And not only did He not have to create us at all, like Him, to live forever, but He certainly didn’t have to have a PLAN, so that not only would we live forever, but we would live FOREVER WITH THEM in perfect paradise in Heaven for all eternity.
But He did, because He loved us, His creation, so much. He loved us so much it is unimaginable. He loved us so much He gave His precious Son for us, and it is His Son’s precious blood that cleanses us from our sin, that separates us from Him.
But the precious cleansing blood of His Son cleanses us from our sins, and makes us perfect again, like He created us as in the first place, so we can come to Him once again.
If He created us, and created us to live forever, and made a way for us to live with Them forever by giving His Son, and His Son loved us so much that He willingly came and gave Himself, then He wants a relationship with us.
The least we can do is give our lives back to Him, because we owe Him our lives in the first place.
In the book of Revelation, the apostle John, the apostle that Jesus loved, is receiving his vision from Jesus on what he is supposed to write and say to Jesus’ churches.
In chapter 4, they are in the throne room of Heaven, and John is describing what he sees. He sees these magnificent beautiful creatures, worshiping the Almighty, and they do not rest from it, day or night. Then he sees the elders join in with the worship falling down before Him, worshiping Him that lives forever and ever, and they say in verse 11:
“You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.”
Then John sees a scroll in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne, and it was sealed, and he was saddened because he thought there was no one who was worthy to open the scroll, so they could read what it said. But one of the elders came to him and said, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll.
Then John looked, and there was a Lamb, as though it had been slain with the Spirits of God surrounding Him, and the Lamb came and took the scroll, but before He opened the scroll, the creatures, and the elders each as before, fell down and worshiped Him, singing:
“You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”
This is just a small glimpse of what John saw, and then tried as hard as he could, to put into words what worship is going to be like in Heaven when we get there. Doesn’t it sound amazing? Can you imagine it?
God wants you to be there. Jesus wants you to be there. They created you for it. They didn’t have to, but the WANTED to, because they want a relationship with you. Don’t you want a relationship with them?
So in this busy week, if you haven’t already, start a relationship with Them, or rekindle a relationship that is already there, but has just grown a little cold. He’s ready to kindle it back up. If you need help, let us know. We would love to help.
